A note before you go. Start with Amber Museum, then decide whether Basanavicius gatvė deserves a separate visit rather than rushing both. The suggested days are an editable grouping, not a timed tour. Visit allowances exclude transfers, meals and queues; confirm the exact entrance and current visiting arrangements for Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary before setting off.

BEFORE YOU SET OFF

A more practical kind of plan.

Getting your bearings

The central area is very walkable and there are many pedestrian roads and paths. Otherwise, a bike would be a more useful option than a car. There are many options for renting a wide range of bikes. Bolt is a common ride share service in the area and many cars have the logo. You book via the app.

Build a route that makes sense

Keep Amber Museum as the anchor for one day and Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary for the other. Check their exact entrances on the map before adding further stops; a town name alone is not a reliable meeting point.
