Atlas entries and editorial guides
Atlas entries provide geographic reference facts, maps, and nearby places. They are drawn from GeoNames and selected to provide broad country coverage. Journal articles are separately researched editorial guides. A location in the atlas is not a popularity ranking, an endorsement of current travel conditions, or a verified business listing.
Research and verification
City stories use official tourism boards, cultural institutions, and transport providers as source material. Practical articles offer planning methods rather than promises about outcomes. Source links and publication dates appear on each article. We do not describe research as a firsthand visit.
Images and attribution
Photography is used under the licenses recorded on our Sources & Photography page. An article photograph may illustrate the wider city or theme rather than every stop mentioned in the text; captions describe the actual photograph.
Corrections and changing details
Schedules, prices, access, and transport can change. Check the linked official source when planning a visit. A dated source check is not a guarantee that every operational detail remains current. We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, local contributors, or testimonials.
Commercial independence
No paid placements or live advertising are active in this initial edition. If commercial content is added, it will be labeled and distinguished from editorial material.
Editorial names, portraits & opinions
Our eight bylines are openly fictional editorial personas, not real reporters or local residents. Their illustrated portraits use the CC0 Lorelei style by Lisa Wischofsky via DiceBear, credited on Sources & Photography. Each article includes a distinct editorial recommendation based on its route and sources, rather than an invented firsthand experience.
Dates and homepage selections
Today’s edition uses the visitor’s device time zone and refreshes at the local date boundary. Original publication and research-check dates remain recorded on articles. Rotating homepage recommendations are selections from the existing journal, not a claim that new reporting has been published.
City guide references and reuse
Every selected destination has a visitor shortlist and practical planning notes. Some city guides adapt selected Wikivoyage reference text under CC BY-SA 4.0, with version and contributor-history links on the corresponding page; the adapted guide text is shared under that license. Other guides use original summaries of linked visitor information. Community references can contain mistakes or outdated details. Suggested day groupings and time allowances are editorial estimates, not calculated routes, opening guarantees or claims of firsthand visits.
