Elsewhere provides travel inspiration, editorial articles, and geographic reference information. It is not a travel agent, booking platform, live transport feed, or emergency service. You do not need an account or a paid subscription to read this edition.
Using travel information
Use our content as a starting point for your own planning. Opening hours, prices, transport, entry rules, and access can change. Confirm arrangements using the linked official sources for your own dates and circumstances. A geographic listing is not an endorsement of current travel conditions or a statement that a destination is suitable for every visitor.
Trip plans and suggestions
City highlights, suggested day groupings, and time allowances are editorial starting points. The planner organizes the places you choose; it does not calculate live travel time, opening hours, availability, or an optimized route. Map links open a separate map provider. Source coordinates, when available, are used to identify a stop; a coordinate is not a verified entrance or a walking route. Confirm access and reservations before travelling.
Editorial and geographic coverage
Atlas entries are distinct from our researched journal guides. The directory combines selected travel destinations with populated-place references, not independently measured popularity rankings. Nearby distances are straight-line calculations and are not walking or driving directions.
Content rights and attribution
Original editorial writing and site design are presented for reading and personal planning. Geographic information adapted from GeoNames is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, with source attribution retained. Third-party photographs and fonts remain subject to their recorded licenses. Check Sources & Photography before reusing material; downloading a page does not transfer ownership of its contents.
Responsible use
Use the website in a lawful way and respect other people’s rights. Do not attempt to interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, or misrepresent Elsewhere’s material as your own. Ordinary browsing, linking to stories, and personal travel planning are welcome.
Saved collections and drafts
Saved items and trip plans are stored in the current browser and may be lost when browser data is cleared, a device changes, or storage becomes unavailable. Export a collection or download a plan if you want a separate copy. Contact drafts are prepared locally and are not server submissions or confirmed deliveries.
External websites and services
Maps, tourism sources, transport providers, and photographer pages are controlled by their respective operators. Their services, availability, terms, and privacy practices are separate from Elsewhere. The site does not process travel payments or guarantee third-party services.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep pages useful and functional, but content, features, and availability can change. Information is provided as a general planning resource without a promise that every record is complete or current. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
