Central Blida, former Place d’Armes
The square gives a named point from which to begin exploring central Blida. Look at the streets leading into it and ask a local guide how the former gates and changing place names relate to today's city. A slow circuit works better than expecting a single museum attraction; its interest is the public space and the urban history around it.

Regional excursion: Blida section of the Atlas Mountains, via RN37
Chréa's protected mountain landscape includes Atlas cedar and habitats important to the region's biodiversity. Arrange a short suitable walk or a visit to an approved viewpoint, giving the forest itself time instead of trying to cover the whole park. Local advice should determine the route and any visitor-centre access, with a longer mountain hike treated as a separate undertaking.

Regional excursion: about 12 km from Blida toward Médéa
The Chiffa Gorges bring a steep river landscape into the visit beyond Blida's streets. Choose designated stopping or walking areas through local guidance and look at how water has cut the mountain terrain. The region is associated with Barbary macaques, but wildlife should remain undisturbed; seeing an animal is an addition to the landscape visit rather than its guarantee.

A note before you go. Use a separate vehicle outing for Chréa via the RN37 and another agreed approach for the Chiffa Gorges on the Médéa side of Blida. The tourism directorate places the gorges about twelve kilometres from the city. Ask local visitor staff which paths and stopping areas are appropriate before setting out. All listed durations are editorial time at the stops, with mountain driving and extended walking additional.
