Crescent Island Game Sanctuary

The sanctuary's walking trails offer a way to pay attention to the lake landscape from the ground. Look at the relation between open areas, trees and shore, and let the hosts advise which routes suit your visit. Because the island has alternated between island and peninsula as water levels change, settle access arrangements directly instead of assuming a fixed arrival method.

Joy Adamson Museum at Elsamere

The museum introduces the lives and conservation work of Joy and George Adamson through possessions, exhibits and the legacy of Born Free. Regional excursion: south of Lake Naivasha, reached from Moi South Lake Road

Hell’s Gate National Park

Hell's Gate's cliffs and volcanic features provide a striking change from the lakeshore. Choose a short approved walking, cycling or vehicle visit with the park rather than assuming every gorge and route is accessible. Spend time looking at the rock formations and open valley, and use a longer separately arranged programme if climbing or extensive exploration is the main goal.

A note before you go. Confirm the current approach to Crescent Island directly, since its connection to the mainland changes with lake levels. Arrange museum or day-visitor access at Elsamere, and plan the separate journey down Moi South Lake Road to Hell's Gate's Elsa Gate. The visit lengths are editorial estimates for short introductions; a complete cycling route, boat journey or longer national-park programme will take additional time.
