Meet the centre’s team to learn how injured sea turtles are rehabilitated and why ghost fishing gear creates problems for them. Founded by the local Naifaru Juvenile organisation, the centre welcomes visitors and connects animal care with community education. Follow staff instructions around the patients; the purpose is recovery and eventual release rather than handling wildlife.

Arrange a guided reef outing suited to your training and conditions. The operator-contributed PADI description identifies coral restoration on the western side and a mix of reef and sandy habitat. Ask the guide to point out those differences and explain the conservation work, keeping a respectful distance from coral frames and marine animals.

This channel near Naifaru is a distinct dive excursion between the airport island of Madivaru and Felivaru. PADI describes deep overhangs and recommends it for advanced divers. Review the plan and your recent experience with the operator; the visit allowance is an activity block, not a suggested time underwater or an independent swimming route.

A note before you go. Contact Atoll Marine Centre about a visitor session and coordinate reef activities with a local dive operator. PADI identifies Velaa Beach as house-reef access and Madivaru Kandu as a boat-entry channel best suited to advanced divers. Arrange arrival and departure boats through your accommodation; do not infer a ferry timetable from map proximity. Durations are editorial activity blocks, including briefing but excluding transfers.
