A note before you go. Start with Art Nouveau Centre and Art Museum KUBE, then decide whether Ålesund church deserves a separate visit rather than rushing both. The suggested days are an editable grouping, not a timed tour. Visit allowances exclude transfers, meals and queues; confirm the exact entrance and current visiting arrangements for City Train Sightseeing before setting off.

BEFORE YOU SET OFF

A more practical kind of plan.

Getting your bearings

Some east of the old city centre is the modern business and shopping district, located in the Moa-Spjelkavik district, but this area is of little interest to visitors. For the Atlantic Sea Park on the west shore of Hessa island, there are special bus services during the summer signed "Akvariebussen" from the city centre bus terminal. Alternatively, you can use a pre-paid card for travelling on public transport in Ålesund. In general there are plenty of bus services in Ålesund.

Build a route that makes sense

Art Nouveau Centre and Art Museum KUBE and Ålesund church are about 0.3 km apart in a straight line. Use the route link to compare the actual streets or transport connections before putting both in the same morning; the measurement is not a walking distance or a transfer estimate.
